Is shopping on Black Friday and/or Cyber Monday part of your post-Thanksgiving traditions? If so, check out some of our tips to make the most of your bargain hunting experience.
Stick to your list. Make a list – or spreadsheet, if you’re shopping Cyber Monday – to stick to. Getting distracted by and buying unnecessary items takes up time and starts adding up quickly, no matter how much the prices are marked down!
Price-check in store. The price of an item in store may not be as good of a deal as you think. Check prices online while shopping in-store to see if you can find a better deal elsewhere!
Watch for early or late shopper deals. Sometimes the early bird gets the worm, and sometimes it pays off to be patient. Keep an eye on ads to take advantage of special early morning or late night sales.
Send gifts directly to recipients. Save a little extra cash on wrapping and shipping by having gifts sent directly to recipients when shopping online.
Pay attention to extra costs. Unless you qualify for free shipping, sometimes shipping, handling and taxes can quickly bump the price of discounted items. $10 shipping on a $10 item is not as good of a deal as you thought! Just make sure to check your final total before clicking purchase!
Stack coupons when possible. Some retailers allow you to stack coupons. Take advantage of extra savings, free shipping and more to lower costs!
