Sandia Area Federal Credit Union Teams Up with American General Media to “Knock Hunger Out of the Park” Food Drive Benefiting the Storehouse and Supporting Families in Need.
Albuquerque, NM — July 14, 2025 — Sandia Area Federal Credit Union, in partnership with American General Media, is proud to announce the launch of “Knock Hunger Out of the Park”, a four-week community-driven food and donation campaign benefiting the Storehouse New Mexico, one of our state’s largest food pantries.
The promotion invites radio listeners and community members to bring non-perishable food items or make a cash donation at participating Sandia Area branch locations during select times. As a thank you, donors will receive two tickets to a local event and be entered to win the grand prize: a trip for two to a 2026 professional regular-season baseball game of their choice—including airfare and accommodations.
"Knock Hunger Out of the Park is more than a food drive—it's a way for the community to come together and make a real impact for New Mexico families facing food insecurity," said Rachael Garcia, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Sandia Area Federal Credit Union. Sandia Area has a long history of partnership with the Storehouse and changing the course of food insecurity in New Mexico is a mission we’re very proud of. With the help of our radio partners and generous donors, we hope to fill the shelves at the Storehouse.”
The Storehouse provides free groceries to nearly 80,000 people annually and of New Mexicans each year, many of whom are working families, seniors, and children. Every dollar raised will provide 5 meals and helps put meals on the table for neighbors in need.
